TWO COMPONENTS (2K), WATER-BASED, FOR EXTERIOR

  • Two Components (2K) Water Based, For Exterior

ASTRA VERNICI water-based wood coatings for exteriors are specifically designed to protect the objects from the aggression of weathering and biological agents and, to guarantee an excellent shield from other outbreaks to last and be steady in time.
Wood is an “alive material”, perfect from all points of view, but is also subject to deterioration over time, and the most important causes can be:

  • UV sunlight breaks the molecules of the lignin of wood producing the paint film that peels off
  • Blue fungi feed by the lignin under the film of paint and this causes a detachment (they are also responsible for the “greying” of the wood exposed to the exterior)
  • High temperature causes the vitrification of the paint which, becoming more rigid, can be easily detached (a shutter or window frame hit by the summer light can easily reach 60 °C)
  • Moisture penetrates the wood if the paint film is interrupted (es.: breaks by hail), and this makes follow the degradation of the film
  • The bad weather
  • Insects
  • Pollution

Astra Vernici’s water-based paints for outdoor are the result of years of innovation and research, and they are formulated to oppose, as much as possible the main causes of deterioration of the wooden items exposed to the elements, also safeguarding the best aesthetic result with the lowest environmental impact in the working ambient and the ecosystem in general.
