Wood stains: the staining painting process is used to improve the final look, highlighting the grain and the wooden pores, uniforming the differences in tone of the board and reducing the change of the colour in time. With the tinting process, also the entry level wooden essences improve its beauty.
The wood stain of range ASTRA VERNICI includes a full set of water or solvent based colours, a virtually unlimited number of colours and shades thanks to the exclusive tinting system provided with ready formulas to also manufacture ready dyes “on site”.
UNICOLOR / ACQUACOLOR
UNICOLOR are special wood dyes for interiors, dissolved in bivalent solvents which makes them "universal", (they can be diluted in water or in solvent). With their special formulation, they can be adapted to all the painting cycles: spray, brush, wipe, roller, for manual or automatic systems.
UNICOLOR are supplied in high concentration solutions and for their final use they must be reduced according to their TDS or their brochure.
The overspray of the colour with solvent-based paint does not alter the tonality achieved (these dyes are not "bleeding" kind), while with the water-based paints the shade is slightly revived.
UNICOLOR can be overcoated with on nitrocellulose, polyurethane, acrylic coatings and, after insulating, also with polyester paints.
Astra Vernici has expressly developed for the UNICOLOR’s series, proper "vehicles" to solve all the application problems that may occur, even on difficult wooden essences.
The UNICOLOR’S are available in 10 master colours plus 20 derived colours, all of them can be mixed together to obtain intermediate colours.
The ACQUACOLOR are special dyes for wood for interiors with a very low environmental impact, dissolved in water and with minimal amounts of solvent, specifically designed for the overcoating of water-dispersible paints without bleeding. Thanks to their special formulation, they can be adapted to all wood painting cycles: spray, bath, flow-coating, cloth, roller, both for manual and automatic painting systems.
The ACQUACOLOR are supplied in high concentration solutions and for their final use they must be diluted with water to leave, after drying, a homogeneous surface smooth to the touch with a minimum rise of the hair of the wood. In this way uniformity is given to the colour even on the most difficult essences, and the result at the end of the work is a hue of maximum brilliance, depth and brightness. The overspray of the colour with water-based and solvent-based paint does not alter the tonality obtained (these dyes are not "bleeding").
The ACQUACOLOR can be overcoated with water-soluble, nitrocellulose, polyurethane and acrylic paints, and after suitable insulation, also based on polyester.
The ACQUACOLOR series is available in 10 master colours and 20 derived colours, all of which can be mixed together to obtain intermediate colours.
SOLVASHADE / ACQUASHADE
The "SHADE" series, formulated with special concentrated colouring solutions for interiors with good light fastness, is formulated with innovative micro pigments, dissolved in water (in case of the ACQUASHADE series) or in solvents (in case of the SOLVASHADE series).
This series of concentrates for wood, with its unique formulation, can be adapted to all painting cycles, manual or automatic painting systems:
The dried result is a very uniform coloured wooden surface, even on difficult wood, and without the wood fibre to raise up.
In such system uniformity is provided also on the most difficult essences, and the result at the end of the work is a shade with good brilliance tone with intense brightness.
The next application with solvent-based or water-based paint does not alter the obtained shade (these dyes are also called not "bleeding").
ACQUASHADE and SOLVASHADE can be overlayered with nitrocellulose, polyurethane, acrylic, polyester, UV paints and, of course, all water-based paints.
ACQUASHADE and SOLVASHADE are supplied in high concentration solutions and for their final use they must be reduced, normally 1:10, to achieve the shades of our brochure.
The reducer for ACQUASHADE is tap water and, for SOLVASHADE is the UNITHINNER.
Astra Vernici has expressly created for this series of concentrates special "vehicles" to achieve special effects with extraordinary beauty while extreme simplicity in use.
