Nitrocellulose paints (universally shorted in "nitro paints or NC paints") are actually the oldest varnishes of the modern (industrial) era and they are still widely used worldwide.
The film of the paint dries only because the solvent evaporation, there’s no chemical reaction involved.
They are suitable for the production of furniture in style, art or rustic and are ideal for their ease and flexibility of application. After the drying, the NC paints provide the wood surfaces with a good soft touch finish, with perfect transparency, and release a perfect "pore" design.
Unfortunately, the chemical resistance of these products is not the best.
